Real Time Baking & Other Mischief
This is where you can find all my other fun stuff, mainly video. I'm not afraid of Photoshop, so I'll store a small portfolio of fun things here. If you wish, you can pursue me on Vimeo: you'll find me under "Lex Juarez."
Cooking Videos: Like Rachel Ray, but not on broadcast television.
Sugar Cookies Part 1 from Lex Juarez on Vimeo.
Sugar Cookies Part 2 from Lex Juarez on Vimeo.
Banana Licuado Shake from Lex Juarez on Vimeo.
Baking in Action: Pretty Pictures
All these pictures show the cake baking, fish making, and cookie mixing I have done. Baking is a very laborious task, but when done right, it will provide results that please you to no end. Well, at least until you eat all the cake or fish.
Extra Cool Images Section
(I took an entry-level Photoshop class this semester at the college. The following is my final-exam album for that class.)
Here are my flattened Photoshop images. One is very clearly an advertisement for this website; it turned out very nice. Don't you love the hummingbird going in for the center flower on the cake?
We had to have three images total for Photoshop class, so EcoKitty Kitty Beans box was a random one I came up with at 8:30 PM at night. When I lived with my mother, we had a pet dog that ate some kind of Nutro kibble, and when we bought it for the first time, my mother commented on how the kibble looked like cookies. And since we'd always called her food "beans" before, the word "cookie beans" came into existence.
Finally, you'll see my cyborg poster created for my other ATEC class. It was supposed to be a light-hearted, pink, Barbie ad, but a lot of Barbie images are copyrighted online, so that didn't work out. Combined with long hours in the lab, the poster had a life of its own, and it ended up fairly moody and dark.
